Turkish 12.7 m armed USV carrying a heavy machine gun and UMTAS missiles for coastal security and surface warfare.
SANCAR is an armed uncrewed surface vessel from Turkish defence software and systems company HAVELSAN. The 12.73 m, 9-tonne boat has a 3.3 m beam, sprints at more than 40 knots, and can cover around 400 nautical miles at a 10-knot cruise, giving roughly 40 hours on station. It carries a stabilized remote weapon station with a 12.7 mm machine gun and two Roketsan UMTAS anti-tank missiles for engaging boats and coastal targets, and it can work in seas up to state four. Operators control or monitor it from a ground control station, with autonomous navigation between waypoints. SANCAR completed acceptance trials and is intended for Turkish naval and security units guarding coasts, ports, and critical infrastructure.
