Visão geral
Two-person-portable 52 kg torpedo-shaped AUV from IQUA Robotics with partial hovering.
SPARUS II is a small torpedo-shaped autonomous underwater vehicle from Spain's IQUA Robotics, based on research at the University of Girona. At about 52 kg it can be carried and launched by two people, and three thrusters let it slow down and partly hover, which helps when inspecting structures or imaging the seabed in shallow water. It is used by universities, survey companies and navies for training and research.

1.6 m long, 0.23 m hull diameter and about 52 kg, so two people can launch it from any boat. Rated to 200 m, 3 kn maximum speed and 8 to 10 hours from a 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. Three thrusters give it partial hovering ability, unusual for a torpedo-shaped AUV. Payloads include side-scan and multibeam sonars and cameras; a flooded nose bay takes extra sensors.
