Visão geral
Saab's modular high-speed mine-reconnaissance AUV for large-area sonar search and critical-infrastructure monitoring.
AUV62-MR adapts Saab's operational AUV62 architecture to mine reconnaissance and critical-underwater-infrastructure survey. The 6 m, approximately 900 kg standard vehicle uses a double-sided synthetic-aperture-sonar array and onboard processing to create high-resolution seabed imagery at speed. Saab publishes a 300 m operating depth, speeds up to 12 knots, an 18-hour standard endurance at 3 knots, a 500 m swath, resolution around 3 by 3 cm, and area coverage above 3 square kilometres per hour. It can operate from ships, shore, or a submarine-compatible interface, while the support system fits within a 20-foot container. Sweden ordered the system for naval mine countermeasures in 2024.
