Descripción general
Brazilian Navy mine-countermeasure USVs developed by EMGEPRON and TideWise.
The Suppressor is a family of uncrewed mine-countermeasure boats developed for the Brazilian Navy by its shipbuilding company EMGEPRON and the Rio de Janeiro autonomy firm TideWise. The 11-metre version exceeds 35 knots and carries radar, lidar, cameras and a multibeam sonar, and it is small enough to fly in a KC-390 transport. A 7-metre Suppressor 7 was ordered in 2024. The boats let the navy sweep and survey for mines without putting sailors over a minefield.

Developed by the Brazilian Navy's EMGEPRON with TideWise. The Suppressor 11 is about 11 m long (TideWise gives 11.5 m and a 3.6 m beam; other sources 2.95 m), displaces about 8 t, exceeds 35 kn on two waterjets and carries radar, 3D lidar, a PTZ camera and multibeam sonar; it can be moved by road, rail, KC-390 aircraft or amphibious ships. The smaller Suppressor 7 is 7.2 m long with a 24 kn top speed and 400 nmi range, under a contract EMGEPRON awarded TideWise in February 2024. A Suppressor took part in the Brazilian Navy's MINEX-23 exercise.
