Descripción general

Rafael's pioneering armed naval USV family, in operational service for more than a decade for maritime security, surveillance, and threat interception.

Protector is one of the best-known early operational armed USV families. Rafael offers 9 m and 11 m configurations built around a robust, highly survivable hull with redundant sailing functions intended to prevent the craft from becoming stranded. The system transmits real-time data and video to shore or shipboard headquarters so operators can investigate and verify potential threats without exposing a crew. Rafael publishes a maximum speed of 40 knots, endurance beyond 48 hours, and more than a decade of operational service, placing Protector among the foundational fielded systems in modern naval uncrewed-surface operations.

Notas

Rafael's brochure lists 9 m and 11 m hull options. The database uses 11 m for the length field and retains both versions as aliases; endurance and maximum speed are common published family values.
