VENOM is a 30-foot autonomous interceptor from Massachusetts autonomy firm Scientific Systems, built on a tough plastic hull by Tideman Marine. It is designed to slip through contested waters on its own, avoiding other traffic, and then sprint at more than 35 knots to intercept a vessel that will not answer. It can also loiter for more than five days on surveillance or carry 300 kg of supplies. It was released for US defence procurement in 2025.
