Descripción general
7 m modular USV from Spain's Seadrone, the Spanish Navy's first operational uncrewed surface vessel.
SEAD 23 is a 7-metre uncrewed boat from Spanish company Seadrone, part of the Zelenza group, and the first USV to enter service with the Spanish Navy. A waterjet pushes it to well over 30 knots, and its 600 kg payload bay takes whatever a mission needs, from surveillance cameras and electronic warfare kit to sonar, an underwater robot or weapons. Before its 2024 purchase it was tested from Spanish warships and in NATO exercises, and it now serves at the Navy's test centre in Rota.

The Spanish Navy bought it for EUR 1.1 million in 2024 and assigned it to its CEVENTA test centre at Rota; it has deployed from five Navy ships and in NATO exercises such as REPMUS and Dynamic Messenger. Seadrone is part of the Zelenza group.
