Overview

ASELSAN's 600 m modular AUV, Turkey's first domestically developed autonomous underwater vehicle.

Deringöz ('deep eye') is a modular autonomous underwater vehicle from ASELSAN, described as Turkey's first domestically developed AUV. Rated to 600 metres, it carries interchangeable sensor sections for mapping the seabed, hunting mines, inspecting pipelines or guarding ports and naval bases, and can run for up to 15 hours. It was unveiled at the IDEF defence fair in 2023 and completed sea trials in the following years.

Notes

First shown at IDEF 2023 and completed its initial diving tests in early 2024. ASELSAN lists a 600 m operating depth, 5.5 kn top speed, 3 kn scanning speed and up to 15 hours endurance with two additional batteries. The modular design suits research, reconnaissance and surveillance, mine detection, pipeline inspection and port and base protection. The DERİNGÖZ 100M/600 configuration later completed sea trials including cabled, wireless and acoustic communication tests.
