Overlord Unmanned Surface Vessels

概述
U.S. Navy family of large, high-endurance autonomous prototype ships used to develop fleet concepts, payload integration, and future combat USV requirements.
The Overlord Unmanned Surface Vessels are approximately 59 m, 673-tonne prototype ships used by the U.S. Navy to mature large-USV autonomy, fleet integration, modular payloads, tactics, and command-and-control concepts. The family comprises Nomad, Ranger, Mariner, and the purpose-built Vanguard. Nomad and Ranger proved long autonomous transits, including Nomad's 4,421-nautical-mile journey with 98 percent of the route in autonomous mode, and the prototypes have participated with crewed forces in RIMPAC, Integrated Battle Problem, and Autonomous Warrior exercises. Rather than being a single production model, Overlord is represented as a family record because the Navy uses the vessels collectively to shape future high-endurance modular combat-USV programs.

备注
The Navy's current fact file appears to contain unit-formatting errors but gives approximately 194 ft and 673 metric tonnes at full load; 194 ft converts to 59.1 m. Nomad completed a 4,421-nautical-mile transit that was 98 percent autonomous, but that demonstrated voyage is not entered as certified range.
