9 m uncrewed met-ocean measurement vessel designed and patented by Ørsted for offshore wind sites.
Hugin USV is an uncrewed measuring vessel designed by Danish energy company Ørsted to gather wind and ocean data at future offshore wind farm sites. Instead of anchoring a buoy and sending technicians out to service it, the 9-metre boat holds station for up to a year, measuring winds aloft with a lidar and recording waves and currents. It was validated by DNV as a floating lidar and has ridden out nine-metre storm waves. Ørsted patented the design and began building a fleet in 2023.

备注
The 9 m prototype was built by Denmark's Tuco Marine Group with a Maritime Robotics control system, and is designed to operate continuously for up to a year. It was type-validated by DNV as a floating lidar system and tested in Danish and Norwegian waters, including storms with waves of about nine metres. Ørsted patented the concept in 2023 and started serial production, planning five more units that year.
