Обзор

Norwegian 24 m uncrewed offshore vessel that carries and launches a work-class ROV, run from a shore control centre.

Reach Remote 1 is a 23.9 m uncrewed offshore vessel built by Kongsberg Maritime for Norwegian subsea contractor Reach Subsea, and one of the first remotely operated ships designed to replace a crewed ROV support vessel. It carries an electric work-class ROV rated to 2,000 m, which it launches and recovers through a central moonpool, together with dual multibeam echosounders and a sub-bottom profiler for seabed mapping. Two diesel engines drive azimuth thrusters for up to 11 knots, and it can stay at sea for up to 30 days at a 9-knot service speed while holding position in 3.5 m waves. Pilots on shore control both vessel and ROV over satellite links, cutting fuel use, emissions, and offshore crew needs for inspection and survey work.
