Descripción general
Portable one-person survey boat from Teledyne Oceanscience used to map shallow lakes, rivers, and harbours.
The Z-Boat 1250 is a compact remotely operated survey boat from Teledyne Oceanscience and one of the most familiar small hydrographic USVs in civil engineering and environmental work. At about 1.3 m long and under 50 lb with its instruments, one person can carry it to a lake, river, or harbour and launch it by hand. Twin thrusters in its outriggers push it at up to about 2.3 m/s, and a battery runs for around four hours of survey at 1 m/s. Its integrated single-beam echosounder measures depths from 0.4 to 200 m with centimetre resolution and outputs depth and temperature, while GPS positioning lets it run planned survey lines. Engineers use it to map reservoirs, dredged channels, and areas too shallow or hazardous for crewed boats.
