Overview
Australian low-cost large uncrewed undersea vehicle with a 2,000 km range, built for mass production and exported to the United States.
Speartooth is a large uncrewed underwater vehicle from Brisbane-based C2 Robotics, designed around a 'small, smart, many' philosophy of affordable vehicles that can be built in volume. The composite-hulled vehicle is about 8 m long and 1 m wide in its base configuration and can be stretched to roughly 12 m with additional payload sections. It dives to about 2,000 m and has a published range of about 2,000 km on lithium-ion batteries. Two payload-agnostic bays accept ISR sensors, seabed payloads, or strike effectors, while a communications sail, inertial navigation, and collision-avoidance sensors support long autonomous transits. Speartooth emerged from Royal Australian Navy experimentation in 2022, and in May 2026 C2 Robotics commissioned the first unit exported to the United States.

Reported figures: 8 m base length extendable to about 12 m, 1 m beam, 2,000 m operating depth, and 1,080 nm (2,000 km) range on lithium-ion batteries. The official product page publishes no numeric specifications. C2 Robotics plans European production through Eurobotics GmbH.
